SEO / SEM SPECIALIST

The SEO / SEM Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) strategies to increase the company’s online visibility, drive organic and paid traffic, and enhance overall digital performance. This role involves conducting keyword research, optimizing website content, managing PPC campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement. The SEO / SEM Specialist will work closely with the marketing team and other departments to align digital initiatives with the company’s marketing goals and brand identity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive qualified traffic to the company’s websites.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimization and new content creation.
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and other on-page elements to improve search engine visibility and user experience.
  • Develop and execute link-building strategies to enhance domain authority and search rankings.
  • Work with the web development team to ensure the website is technically optimized for search engines, including site speed, mobile-friendliness, and crawlability.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-friendly content that aligns with the company’s marketing objectives and brand voice.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads to drive targeted traffic and conversions.
  • Manage SEM budgets effectively to maximize ROI and achieve campaign goals.
  • Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) to monitor and analyze the performance of SEO and SEM campaigns, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify industry trends, benchmark performance, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement and manage A/B testing to optimize ad copy, landing pages, and other campaign elements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices in SEO and SEM to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovation.
  • Provide regular performance reports, highlighting key metrics, insights, and recommendations for improvement.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

 Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEO and SEM, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing SEO and SEM strategies.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
  • Experience managing and optimizing PPC campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz) to analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Expertise in conducting keyword research and developing keyword strategies.
  • Understanding of website development and technical SEO aspects, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website architecture.
  • Ability to create and optimize content for search engines and user experience.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple campaigns and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present data and insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative strategies and solutions.
