The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer loyalty. This role involves managing social media accounts, creating high-quality content, and analysing performance metrics to optimize social media efforts.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the company’s marketing goals and brand identity.
  • Define social media KPIs to measure the success of every social media campaign.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
  • Create, curate, schedule, and manage social media content on social media platforms to engage followers and promote brand initiatives.
  • Engage with the audience on social media platforms, responding to comments and messages to foster a community around the brand.
  • Effectively manage influencer collaborations to enhance brand visibility, engage with target audiences, and drive traffic and conversions.
  • Develop a social media content calendar to ensure timely delivery of content across all platforms.
  • Ensure content is engaging, on-brand, and consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice.
  • Monitor user-generated content and manage relationships with brand advocates and influencers.
  • Manage and oversee social media contests and campaigns.
  • Analyse social media performance using analytics tools to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance, including key metrics such as engagement, reach, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Use data-driven insights to adjust social media strategies and campaigns as necessary.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, content creators, designers, and other departments to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Collaborate with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns and integrated marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with PR and communications teams to ensure brand consistency and effective messaging.
  • Ensure all social media accounts are up to date with the latest company news, products, and services.
  • Maintain the brand's voice and ensure consistency across all social media channels.
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to keep the brand relevant.
  • Develop and implement a crisis management plan for social media.
  • Respond promptly to any social media crises, working to mitigate negative impacts and protect the brand’s reputation.

  

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

 Experience:

  • Proven experience in social media marketing, with a strong track record of successful social media campaigns preferably in hospitality.

 Skills & Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of key social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or similar.
  • Strong skills in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video production.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
  • Basic video editing skills using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices as they apply to social media.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics) to track and measure social media performance.
  • Ability to interpret data and use it to drive decisions and strategies.
  • Understanding of online marketing channels and how social media integrates with other digital marketing efforts.
  • Familiarity with paid social media advertising and tools like Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and Twitter Ads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to craft engaging and compelling content tailored to various audiences and platforms.
  • Strong creative skills with an ability to generate innovative ideas for social media content.
  • Ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to analyse social media metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in setting and measuring KPIs for social media performance.
