Join our team in the position of:

RECEPTIONIST / NIGHT RECEPTIONIST (m/f/x)

Work location: Opatija and surrounding area


Main responsibilities:

  • Providing essential front desk services to guests, including check-in and check-out procedures; monitoring reservations and contracted services; assisting with luggage; handling telephone, internet, fax and wake-up services; safe deposit box rental; currency exchange; and providing all necessary information to ensure guests feel safe, satisfied, and well cared for
  • Performing administrative front office duties
  • Monitoring guest arrival and departure lists within the hotel management system
  • Ensuring proper control of key issuance and return (guests and employees)
  • Receiving and delivering guest messages
  • Charging and collecting payment for all services recorded to the guest room account during the stay; reviewing invoices; verifying credit card validity and limits; and ensuring proper handling of cash and overall front desk funds
  • Accurate and correct use of the front office computer system, maintaining confidentiality of guest and partner data, and ensuring precise entry of all information, rates, and amounts
  • Receiving and resolving guest complaints independently within the scope of responsibility or in cooperation with other LRH departments
  • Actively informing guests about and promoting basic and additional services within the accommodation facility and other LRH properties, as well as assisting guests with information on local attractions, events, and external services
  • Recording and monitoring completed maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms

  • Secondary, post-secondary, or higher education (preferably in hospitality and tourism)
  • Strong sense of responsibility in task execution
  • High level of motivation, enthusiasm, and a dynamic work approach
  • Accuracy, tidiness, and efficiency
  • Knowledge and application of professional hospitality standards
