KITCHEN MANAGER (m/f/x)

Work location: Opatija Riviera


Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing the entire kitchen team, participating in the creation of food standards and annual budgets in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager and hotel operations
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of ingredients, all food and recipe standards, and overseeing the weekly and daily staff schedules
  • Managing all kitchen processes and material resources, while ensuring the implementation of all standards and regulation
  • Communicating with the Front Desk regarding guest stay information and satisfaction
  • Managing the productivity of kitchen staff (planning work schedules and ensuring their implementation)
  • Handling periodic menu revisions, seasonal dishes, and food-related events
  • Ensuring compliance with all standards and rules
  • Overseeing the daily tasks in the kitchen
  • Monitoring the satisfaction of kitchen staff
  • Managing the onboarding of new workers, trainees, and students, providing mentorship throughout their learning process
  • Evaluating the kitchen’s performance results
  • Any other tasks suited to the employee’s level of expertise and which are directly related to contracted tasks, regardless of whether that task is listed as one of the employee’s tasks, as directed by their direct supervisor


Requirements:

  • Secondary education in hospitality (qualification – cook)
  • 3 years of experience in same or similar jobs
  • Responsibility while performing tasks
  • Team leadership skills, results-driven approach, productivity management
  • A high degree of motivation, enthusiasm and energy
  • Punctuality, organisation, agility, and the ability to handle stress
  • Knowledge and application of professional practices
