WEB SPECIALIST

Web specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s web presence. This position involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing the company’s websites to ensure an exceptional user experience, drive traffic, and support marketing initiatives. The Web Specialist will work closely with the marketing team, IT department, and other stakeholders to implement web strategies that align with the company’s brand identity and business objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a strong understanding of digital marketing principles.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing the development, management, and maintenance of the website, ensuring it aligns with the company's marketing strategies and brand standards.
  • Implementing advanced SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and organic search rankings. Write and optimize content for SEO, defining quality organic keywords.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other team members. Lead web-related sales activities in coordination with other departments.
  • Collaborating with content creators and designers to ensure that the website content is engaging, optimized, and consistent with other marketing materials.
  • Using web analytics tools to monitor, analyse, and report on website performance and user engagement metrics. Generating reports and track KPIs to measure web performance.
  • Managing web projects from conception through to completion, including vendor and stakeholder communication, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Designing and sending out newsletter campaigns to engage with our audience.
  • Proposing and implementing innovative ideas to enhance website content and functionality. Staying updated on digital marketing and SEO trends and propose new guidelines and strategies.
  • Introducing and integrating new technologies to enhance business operations.
  • Providing administrative support to the team as needed.
  • Ensuring all web activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines, such as data privacy regulations and advertising codes of conduct.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, Marketing, or a related field.

 Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in web development, digital marketing, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful website launches and optimizations.

 Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and web analytics.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • High computer literacy (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project).
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Keyword Planner, and image/graphic editing tools.
  • Familiarity with online marketing (SEO, SEM, Email marketing, Social media, Display marketing).
